SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst College women's tennis team won its second match in as many days with a 9-0 whitewashing of Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Lakers improve to 17-7 overall, 3-3 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Western Division while the Lady Raiders fall to 2-12 overall, 0-4 in the PSAC West.  

The Lakers performance was highlighted by Meghan Raynor at No. 2 doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Ali Horvath.

Mercyhurst returns to action on April 13 when the Lakers host Indiana (Pa.) in the final PSAC West contest of the season.
