Samantha spearheaded the Lakers on the diamond in 2011 and 2012. Her 14 home runs during the 2011 season was a new single-season record for the Lakers, displaying serious power.
Eimers started in every game in both of her two years while leading the team in a number of categories over that time including total bases, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, doubles, home runs, and RBIs. She began her time on Mercyhurst's main campus well, setting the single-season record for home runs with 14. She added on with 51 total hits with 27 being of the extra-base variety for a slugging percentage of .836, the best in the PSAC that season.
Samantha had her best season in 2012 when she finished with a .451 batting average with 14 doubles and 10 home runs to her line while stealing 24 bases to lead the team. Her incredible efforts helped her earn All-PSAC First Team honors while being named to multiple all-region and all-american honors and leading the Lakers to the PSAC Championship game.
Eimers was a member of the Mercyhurst Northeast team in 2009 and 2010 before moving on to play with the Lakers. In her first season, she announced her presence with a .507 batting average and a team-high 53 RBIs before following up with a .507 batting average and a combined 35 extra-base hits in 2010. Over the course of her four years playing collegiately, she hit for a .467 batting average with 64 doubles, 49 home runs, and 205 RBIs while stealing 51 bases to display an all-around skill set hardly seen on the diamond.
