Esposito was a standout defender for the Mercyhurst women's soccer team from 1994-97 and helped lead the Lakers to a 49-15-2 record during her four seasons. Mercyhurst made the NCAA playoffs in her first two seasons on the team in 1994 and 1995.
She was a two-time All-GLIAC selection, was an NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region member in 1997, and was an NSCAA/Adidas First Team All-American that same season.
She becomes the sixth women's soccer player inducted into the Mercyhurst Athletic Hall of Fame. Esposito joins Meghan Frey (inducted in 2010), Noreen Herlihy (inducted in 2005), Joni (Connelly) Raymundo (inducted in 2002), Theresa Roach (inducted in 2006), and Veronica Sansom (inducted in 1998).
