A two-sport athlete during his time at Mercyhurst (football, men's lacrosse) Wild made an impact many won't soon forget. He made his presence known on the gridiron from the word go with 61 tackles in his freshman season for the fourth most on the team, setting a career-high of 14 in one game. He did not slow down from there as he had 74 tackles in year two before 79 in his junior season. All told, he finished with over 300 takedowns in his career on the gridiron.

His work with Men's Lacrosse was just as special with him playing a major role in the team's 2011 national title. Wild scored four goals against Adelphi in the National Championship to help the Lakers to the win, earning him Nost Outstanding Player honors for the game. He was also named the NCAA's Elite 88 Award-winning in 2011, adding on to his long list of accolades.

Over the course of his career, Wild was named to an All-PSAC team on two occasions while earning CoSIDA/ESPN Magazine Academic All-Region honors in 2009, CoSIDA/ESPN Magazine Academic All-District and All-American honors in 2010, and was named the Pete Nevin PSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 2010-11 season.
