Gregory Bensman was a member of the Men's Lacrosse team from 2008 to 2012. He was captain of the 2011 National Championship team and the 2012 squad. Gregory was a three-time All-East Coast Conference Team member, a two-time USILA First Team All-American, and was twice named the USILA Long-Stick Midfielder of the Year.
In 2012, Gregory won the Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award for USILA Division II's Most Outstanding Player. He was also named a member of the 2012 Capital One Academic All-American Third Team.
While at Mercyhurst, the Long Stick Midfielder made a great impact on the Laker lacrosse team from the moment he stepped on campus. In his four years, he collected 136 ground balls, caused 73 turnovers, had 8 assists, and scored eight goals.
Gregory graduated from Mercyhurst with a degree in Finance in 2012. He then worked as a financial analyst for a number of different banks in the Buffalo/Niagara region from 2012 until 2016. In October 2016, Gregory began working as a finance manager with Reichart Inc. until 2018. He now works with Moog Space and Defense Group where he has been a finance manager since June 2018.
