A three-time all-conference selection, Francis was named the GLIAC’s Player of the Year in 1996 and 1997. During the 1996 season, Francis also earned First-Team All-America honors, another first for the Mercyhurst program.

While at Mercyhurst, Francis’ squads compiled a winning record every year, posting a record of 45-21-8.

In 1998, Francis was selected to be a part of the Caribbean All-Star Team to play against the Jamaica World Cup Soccer Team. He then went on to play professionally with the Cincinnati Riverhawks of the A-League.

In 2003, he became an assistant Men’s Soccer coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College and in April 2005, he added the West Virginia Wesleyan’s women’s program to his repertoire. Within four years he has turned the program back into a regional power, winning the conference title the last two years and getting a berth to the NCAA tournament. Additionally, he was honored by the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as the Coach of the Year for his last two years.

Prior to coming to Mercyhurst College Francis was a full international player, playing for his native land Antigua, at the youth and senior level.

He and his wife, Kim, have been married for over years and have five beautiful children: Orion, Kiana, Alayna, Isaiah, and Jeremiah.

In addition to coaching at the college level, Glenn is active in the local club teams and has a passion for teaching kids the game which has been such an integral and important part of his life and career. Also, his teams have been active in spreading soccer to other areas of the world by sending jerseys to the Marlin Glean Academy in Granada.
