The Mercyhurst men's and women's tennis teams received bids to the NCAA Tournament, as announced by the governing body on Tuesday.
The Laker men qualified for the tournament with an automatic bid, having won their second consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament. Mercyhurst, which received the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Region, will host the Atlantic #2 Bracket and face either three-seed West Virginia Wesleyan or six-seed Charleston (W. Va.) on May 1.
The MU women are the three-seed in the Atlantic and will travel to West Virginia State for the Atlantic #2 Bracket. Two-seed WVSU will face seven-seed Shaw while the Lakers take on six-seed West Liberty on Apr. 28. Winners of those two matches will meet on Apr. 29.
