BUTLER, Pa. -- The 21st-ranked Mercyhurst baseball team fell to Millersville, 6-3, and was eliminated from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday night.
Hank Morrison batted 2-for-4 with a run and RBI. Both of his hits were doubles.
Matthew Minnick took the loss on the hill, giving up five runs on five hits in three innings of work. He recorded one strikeout and four walks.
Jamie Lauria tossed five solid innings in relief, allowing one run on two hits. He had five strikeouts and three walks.
The Lakers fell behind 5-0 as the Marauders scored three runs in the second inning and two in the third.
Mercyhurst answered with a three-run sixth. Morrison had a two-run double and
Daniel Elliott drove in a run on a groundout.
Millersville tacked on one run in the sixth, forging a 6-3 advantage that held.
The Lakers will now await word on qualification into the NCAA Atlantic Regional.
