Marissa Faso assisted on the score. Mercyhurst pressured the Warrior defense as time wound down, shooting five times, but Ard came up with two stops in the last minute to preserve the ESU win.
Jess Wess recorded 13 saves in net. East Stroudsburg held a 20-13 advantage in shots.
Mercyhurst went 9-10 this year, posting its second straight season with nine victories. It also set the school record for goals, scoring 48 times. Pembleton's 14 goals are the most by a Laker since Emily Warren tallied 15 in the 2008 campaign.Â
