PHILADELPHIA, Pa.-
Trevor Vargo of the #1 Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team won the NCAA Elite 89 Award Friday night at the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship Banquet. Vargo has the highest grade point average at the championship site this year.
Vargo, a sophomore from Orchard Park, New York, has a 3.954 GPA while majoring in biology. On the field, he has eight goals and five assists in 18 contests.
The Lakers were honored at the banquet, along with Le Moyne, their opponent in Sunday's NCAA Championship at Lincoln Financial Field. More information on the game is available
