Softball and Field Hockey Help Habitat for Humanity

ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College field hockey team collaborated with the Mercyhurst softball team to help Habitat for Humanity for the fourth consecutive year.

On Oct 22nd and 29th, the teams worked in the Habitat Headquarters, helping to clean up and get ready for the winter.
 
Both teams also assisted in updating and renovating the Habitat for Humanity Store located on 9th street in Erie.
 
As a team, softball logged 88 hours worth of work and the field hockey team put in 28 hours.  The coaches donated 36 hours of work to total 148 overall hours.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that builds and restores homes through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials. Habitat for Humanity houses are sold at no profit to families in need and financed through affordable loans.
