ERIE, Pa. – Mercyhurst College rowing fans should tune in next Tuesday, May 18 at 5 p.m. for the NCAA Division II Rowing Selection Show on NCAA.com to find out if the Lakers are one of four teams and two at-large varsity eight boats that will comprise the field for the 2010 NCAA Rowing National Championship hosted by Washington State University on May 28-30 in Sacramento, Calif. 

Mercyhurst looks for its second straight appearance in the event after earning a team berth and placing second a year ago. This spring, the Lakers have placed first in fourth out of five races, including gold medal finishes at the Dad Vail Regatta, the East Regional, the SIRA and the Knecht Cup. 

Mercyhurst's varsity eight boat is also currently ranked second in the country. 

Fans that plan on attending the 2010 NCAA Rowing Championships can purchase tickets for the event by clicking here before May 20. 

After May 20 fans must purchase tickets at the Championship site, beginning on the first day of competition (May 28).
