ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst College wrestling team travels to Cedar Falls, Iowa this weekend for the National Wrestling Coaches Association / Cliff Keen Duals Presented by Hibiclens.
Among other receiving votes in the latest national poll, the Lakers are slated to face top-ranked and defending national champion Nebraska-Omaha in the first match at 9 a.m. on Jan. 9.
UNO has five returning placewinners in a lineup that features a nationally-ranked wrestler in every weight class except 125.
For the Lakers, No.1
Andy Lamancusa (157) and No. 1
Josh Shields, the reigning national champion at 165 lbs., will look to guide a youthful squad.
